Artist Alex Murdin depicts the geology and ancient stones of Dartmoor, connecting to the the underlying bedrock of the moor that shapes its natural world and the people who live there.
Working as Lithicality Alex makes drawings, prints and sculpture that seeks a conversation with the stone, showing its life and how it has shaped this landscape, our lives and our stories.
A donation from sales goes to SUDEP Action which funds research into Unexpected Death in Epilepsy and supports those affected.

Dr Alex Murdin
Dr Alex Murdin is an artist who has been interested in rural culture and environmental politics throughout his career. Mostly working on public art projects engaging communities with nature he decided during lockdown in 2020 to go back to the beginning, the bedrock of our environment, and focus on stone, particularly the geology of Dartmoor where he lives.
